The extension springs on one of my overhead garage doors were dangerously close to breaking. I am inclined to use small business owners who take pride in their customer satisfaction and for repeat business. That’s how I contacted owner John Tamboer after a quick internet search that he would provide the most careful and professional services, and John and his son did exactly as I required. I contacted him at 5 PM by e-mail with a detailed description of the repairs. By 7 PM he replied with a quotation which I accepted. At 8:!5 AM next morning, today, he and his son were on the job in my driveway. They were meticulous in their repairs, wih proper adjustments to marry with my garage door opener. He further explained that the original door installer had failed to install a protective bar where the carriage arm meets to closing limit switch and that the previously installed springs did not match these door requirements. The replacement springs were in line with the \door specs.
Additionally I explained that the other garage door’s rail assemly was shaking and trying to pull asway from its wall mounting bracket. He volunteered to correct it by establishing a more and creative secure wall mount and properly adjusted the carriage arm for proper riding on the rail.
Once the work was completed John had a computer generated invoice ready for my payment, said payment worth every cent for the work done and peace of mind. I would definitely recommend Tamboer Overhead Door as the duall installation and repair service for your residential garage door needs.

We just replaced our very standard garage doors with something more modern. John and his son were consummate professionals. Once the doors arrived, John and his son installed them without a hitch. He took away the old doors and completely cleaned up the work area. What really blew me away is that my keypad garage door opener was missing the battery cover and several weeks after installing my doors John came by with a cover he had found for me – that attention to detail and exceptional service is rare in today’s times. These guys are amazing! My door broke late Saturday (yesterday), so I decided not to reach out to anyone except the last person who fixed my door. I did not hear back so I checked online for great reviews of overhead repair in Morris County. Tamboer looked the best. I reached out via text at 8:00 am Sunday and I am writing this now at 12:35 (still Sunday) with a door that operates like new! Incredible service, friendly and efficient. They needed to replace some wires that snapped and some track that got bent and serviced the door as well. Reasonable fee and left me feeling great about having called them. They both wore masks and gloves and kept safe distances! I highly recommend!!!!!
